There are a few ways members can get help when they need it.
If your employee would prefer an in-person appointment, they should reach out to their primary care physician or mental health professional. Once your employee's condition has been determined, their doctor will begin treatment or connect them with a mental health specialist to develop a care plan.
Virtual visit appointment
Your employee's in-network physician or mental health professional may offer virtual visits. Your team has access to virtual visits, allowing for convenient access to mental health specialists and resources to treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, panic disorders, and more.
Call a medical professional
Your team members can call the Member Service number on the back of their Highmark ID card to request to speak with a Highmark behavioral health specialist. Or they can call 1-888-BLUE-428 (1-888-258-3428) to be connected to a specially trained Blues On Callsm registered nurse any time of the day, any day of the week. From there, they can assist your team members with symptom assessments, provide general health-related information, and discuss their options for treatment with in-network providers. Most importantly, these conversations are always kept strictly confidential.
If somebody from your team needs help finding care, they have options.
It's important to keep your employees happy and healthy — and we hope this guide will help do just that. If you have questions or concerns about how Highmark can help improve the lives of your team, we'd love to chat.
