SMS Texting Information and Help
Highmark Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates, ("Highmark") offers consumers and its members the option of receiving certain information by Short Message Service (SMS) or texting services ("Text(s)").
Highmark offers consumers the option of participating in a variety of offers, campaigns and programs ("Campaign") by Text. Highmark also offers its health plan members ("Members") the option of receiving certain member information by Text.
Please see the information below to learn more about receiving and opting out of Text messages. Highmark is looking forward to texting with you soon!
Consumer campaign texts
If you are eligible to participate in a Campaign, you could receive an invitation or be invited by any of the following means: public advertisement, flyer, personalized letter, email, web form or web link. The invitation will state what type of information you will be signing up to receive and how to join. In addition, you may choose to use texting on a Highmark website to forward information from our provider directory for example to friends or other members.
Highmark will send you health tips, news and/or related information directly to your mobile phone when opting in to a Campaign. It's easy to participate. When you choose to opt-in to one or more of Highmark's Campaigns, we will send you corresponding information via Text. For example, if you opt-in to a Campaign on savings suggestions, you will receive tips on how to decrease your out-of-pocket expenses. Look for information about current Campaigns and text the Campaign keyword to 465-465 (HMK-HMK). That's all there is to it.
Member Text communication preferences
Highmark offers its Members the option of receiving certain member information by Text. You may sign up for Texts by logging on to your health plan's website as a member and entering your contact information and communication preferences. If you select to receive Texts as your communication preference, as applicable, we will send you information directly to your mobile phone. For example, if you select "Text" under Member Health Statement, you will receive Texts notifying you when your Member Health Statement is posted for viewing.

Collection of information
Your choice of Campaigns and/or Member communication preferences, as applicable, will determine the information that Highmark needs to collect from you.
