"Meet Dr. Right" at Forbes Hospital May 3
PITTSBURGH, Pa. (April 23, 2018) — Finding the right doctor can be a difficult task. You can check online reviews, talk to friends and neighbors, but how can you be sure a doctor is the right fit for you and your health care needs?
To help make finding the right doctor a little easier, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Allegheny Health Network are teaming up for a free "Meet Dr. Right" event on Thursday, May 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Forbes Hospital, 2570 Haymaker Road, Monroeville.
Meet Dr. Right events are sponsored by Highmark and provide attendees with the opportunity to meet, mingle and make appointments with physicians from Allegheny Health Network and other community practices that are accepting new patients.
At the Forbes Hospital event, attendees can meet and talk with family practice physicians, Ob/Gyns, surgeons, and more.
"With this event, our goal is to provide attendees with an opportunity to get to know doctors before they make an appointment, so they can feel more comfortable and have a better patient experience when they do see a physician," said Charles DeShazer, M.D., chief medical officer for Highmark.
Free health screenings and light refreshments will also be available.
"We encourage residents in the Monroeville area to come out to this event, even if they aren't Allegheny Health Network patients," said Dr. DeShazer. "The health-related activities and screenings and opportunities to meet local doctors will make it a worthwhile evening."
