    Step 1

Keep an eye out for your renewal packet from the County Assistance Office. It contains the forms you’ll need to fill out.

If you want to get a head start, you can renew online 60 days before your due date. Visit dhs.pa.gov/COMPASS or use the myCOMPASS PA mobile app to find your renewal date.

If you or your child are no longer eligible for Medicaid, you have options.

Your eligibility information will be provided by Pennie®, PA's official health insurance marketplace (ACA), and you will recieve a letter with your Pennie account, available savings, and a shopping deadline. To avoid a gap in coverage, enroll within the first 60 days.
For CHIP plans, your child could qualify for free or low-cost coverage depending on your household size and income.
Highmark and its affiliated companies offer plenty of other low-cost plans to choose from. Both our individual and family plans through Pennie and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) plans offer affordable coverage and great benefits.
