Preventive vs. Diagnostic Care
Preventive care aims to identify problems early, while diagnostic care treats an existing symptom or problem. Both types of care can occur during the same visit. For example, when your doctor notices something during a routine checkup (preventive) and orders additional tests (diagnostic).

Here are some examples of the preventive checkups and tests covered under your plan.
Preventive Care**
Your routine checkup (at no cost to you*):
- Annual Preventive Wellness Visit
- Cholesterol screening
- Weight and blood pressure screening
- Diabetes screening
- Mammogram, MRI, or ultrasound for preventive screening
- Screening Pap test
- Colorectal cancer screening
- Tetanus, flu, and booster shots
Diagnostic Care
Lab work and other tests (may pay more out-of-pocket):
- Complete blood panel
- Vitamin D, thyroid, and hormone screening
- Urine test
- Diagnostic imaging tests
- EKG
