PITTSBURGH (September 21, 2022) – Highmark Inc. recently announced the election of Karen Larrimer, executive vice president, chief customer officer of The PNC Financial Services Group, to its board of directors for a three-year term.
Ms. Larrimer has served as PNC’s chief customer officer since March 2014 and has announced her plans to retire at the end of 2022. From July 2016 to June 2022, she served as head of retail banking, leading PNC’s consumer businesses, business banking, brokerage, all distribution channels, digital, enterprise customer advocacy and marketing. During her tenure at PNC, she has also served as chief marketing officer and executive vice president for business banking. Prior to joining PNC, Ms. Larrimer was a sales executive for Ernst & Young and held management positions at Mellon Bank.
Ms. Larrimer is a member of the board and a past chairperson for United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. She is president of the board for the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and serves on the board of trustees for Robert Morris University (RMU). Additionally, Ms. Larrimer serves as an advisory board member for Modern Executive Solutions and an emeritus board member for Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and previously held the role of president of the Duquesne Club.
Ms. Larrimer graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in business management and a concentration in marketing from Point Park University in Pittsburgh and completed the Carnegie Mellon University Center for Executive Education Leadership Program.
Ms. Larrimer replaces a vacancy opened from the recent resignation of board member Mary Simmonds, MD, following a two-year term.
