Highmark to present free seminars during Medicare open enrollment

Erie, Pa. (Nov. 14, 2017) — The 2018 Medicare open enrollment period runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, so this is a great time for individuals to learn more about Highmark's private Medicare insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage (Part C), prescription drug coverage (Part D), and Medigap Blue (Medicare Supplement).

At these seminars, individuals can determine the plan that best meets their health care needs and budget by comparing plans, finding providers, exploring prescription drug coverage, and calculating out-of-pocket expenses.

Individuals can also learn more about Community Blue Medicare PPO — Highmark's new product offering for 2018. Community Blue Medicare PPO features no copays for primary care visits, no copays for tier one preferred generic drugs at preferred pharmacies and no deductibles, while giving members the freedom to travel across the United States and find in-network coverage.

Seminar dates include November 20 and December 7 and 19 at 11 a.m.

Seminars are held at the Highmark Direct Store at 5753 Peach Street in the Kingswood Plaza.

Registration is not required, but recommended. Call 814-528-9600 to register. TTY users may call 711.
