Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield supports CASA of Luzerne County

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Jan. 30, 2017) — Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield recently provided $5,000 in funding to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Luzerne County.

According to CASA of Luzerne County, at any time, approximately 400 Luzerne County children are in foster care and in need of an adult advocate.

The Highmark funding will help CASA of Luzerne County provide a qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocate to foster, abused, and neglected children and to ensure they have a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.
