Highmark members are receiving unofficial phone calls from Highmark

PITTSBURGH (Sept. 23, 2016) — We have been made aware of a situation where some of our members have received calls this week from someone claiming to be from Highmark. We understand these are robotic sounding calls and they are asking for personal information. We are investigating this and remind our members that anytime Highmark calls a member, we will clearly identify ourselves. If in doubt, members have the right to ask for a phone number and call us back to make certain that Highmark is actually contacting you. Again, we will continue to thoroughly investigate this matter.
