Effective October 13, 2012, Highmark will no longer accept or return 270/271, 276/277 or 278 Electronic Inquiry Transaction in a batch mode

As of October 13, 2012, the following electronic inquiry transactions will only be accepted and returned via real-time:

  • 270/271: Benefit Eligibility inquiry and Response
  • 276/277: Claim Status Inquiry and Response
  • 278: Services Review Request and Response (authorizations)

On and after that date, Trading Partners are not able to submit electronic inquiry transactions in a batch mode.
